The Letting   About the festival

WEERD SISTERS Productions presents "The Letting" at the Inaugural Source Interdisciplinary Festival, 2008

Chilling and sublime, the new work "The Letting" is muscle and voice, raw, ripe, and true. A  creation by choreographer/poet Diana Tokaji, singer/songwriter Annie Johnstone, jazz bassist David Jernigan, drummer Mattias Rucht, and video director Christopher Anderson, this feast of art is an explosion of mediums, all senses ignited in an intimate and purposeful work.

"The Letting" also appears at the Capital Fringe Festival this year, and is further described under that heading.

The Source Interdisciplinary Festival showcases playwrights, actors and directors and encouraging the creation and presentation of new work. The festival will feature ten-minute plays, a 24-hour performance-building experience, one-act plays and a range of interdisciplinary work.

The Festival seeks to unite DC artists by providing opportunities for new artistic challenges and collaborations while presenting timely, cutting-edge performances for greater DC audiences. The Source Festival offers the unique opportunity to experience the synergy and innovation that results from the partnerships between established and emerging artists. Everything presented in the festival will be new work curated in a process overseen by Festival Producer Jeremy Skidmore.
